How do I get started with SBS TELECOM?

Is there a minimum monthly commitment?

Our Business plan operates on a pay-as-you-go basis with no monthly minimum. Enterprise and Reseller clients may agree volume commitments in exchange for improved rates. Contact us to discuss what suits your usage.

Is SBS TELECOM a Tier-1 provider?

Yes. SBS TELECOM maintains direct SMPP connections to mobile network operators across our coverage footprint. We do not use grey routes or low-quality intermediary paths. All traffic is routed via audited, direct carrier connections.

Where is SBS TELECOM based?

We are a UK-registered company with a UK-based support and operations team. Our infrastructure is hosted in secure, carrier-grade UK and European data centres.

Technical

What integration options are available?

We support HTTP REST API and SMPP for programmatic integration. A web-based portal is also available for users who prefer a no-code interface. Full API documentation and SMPP technical specifications are available on request.

What is the difference between SMPP and HTTP API?

SMPP is a persistent binary protocol designed for high-throughput messaging. It is preferred for enterprise integrations requiring thousands of messages per second. HTTP REST API is easier to implement, suitable for lower-volume or event-driven integrations. We support both.

Do you provide delivery receipts?

Yes. We provide genuine operator-level delivery receipts (DLRs) on all routes. Unlike some providers, we do not synthesise fake DLRs — you receive the actual network-reported delivery status for every message.

Is there a sandbox or test environment available?

Yes. We can provision a test account with sandbox credentials so your development team can integrate and test without sending live traffic. Contact us to request sandbox access.

What throughput can I expect on the SMPP connection?

Throughput is configurable and dependent on your account tier and route. Enterprise accounts can be provisioned with high-throughput SMPP sessions capable of handling millions of messages per hour. Contact our technical team to discuss your throughput requirements.

Pricing

How does pricing work?

Pricing is per message and varies by destination country, route type, and monthly volume. We provide a custom rate card based on your specific requirements. There are no setup fees and no hidden charges.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. The rate agreed in your commercial terms is the rate you are billed. We do not add carrier surcharges, platform fees, or delivery receipt charges on top of the agreed per-message rate.

Can I get a trial or test credits?

We offer a sandbox environment for technical testing. For commercial evaluation, contact our sales team — we can discuss a limited trial arrangement for qualifying businesses.

What billing models do you support?

We support prepaid credit-based billing and post-paid monthly invoicing. The billing model is agreed as part of your commercial setup. Resellers and enterprise clients typically use monthly invoicing with agreed payment terms.

Do you support OTP delivery globally?

Yes. We maintain a dedicated OTP routing pool with direct Tier-1 connections in all major OTP markets including the UK, EU, UAE, India, and the US. Dedicated OTP routes ensure priority delivery without the delays introduced by shared or grey-route traffic.

How do you ensure route quality?

Our routing engine continuously monitors delivery rates, latency, and operator DLR quality in real time. Routes that fall below threshold are automatically replaced by failover paths. We also conduct regular route audits to verify quality against benchmarks.

Can you provide sender ID registration for specific countries?

Yes. Many countries require pre-registered sender IDs for alphanumeric originators. We manage the registration process on your behalf. Contact us to discuss sender ID requirements for your target markets.
