Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: 1 January 2025

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the use of SBS TELECOM services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy. Violation may result in immediate suspension of your account.

Permitted Uses

  • Transactional messages to recipients who have an existing relationship with your business
  • Marketing messages to recipients who have given explicit opt-in consent
  • Authentication and verification messages (OTP, 2FA)
  • Customer service and support communications
  • Operational alerts and notifications

Prohibited Uses

You must not use SBS TELECOM services to send:

  • Unsolicited commercial messages (spam) to recipients who have not opted in
  • Phishing, fraud, or deceptive messages of any kind
  • Messages promoting illegal products or services
  • Content that harasses, threatens, or intimidates recipients
  • Messages that impersonate other organisations or individuals
  • Content that violates applicable law in the sender or recipient country
  • Messages sent via SIM farms, grey routes, or other non-compliant methods

Your Responsibilities

  • Maintain valid consent records for all marketing recipients
  • Honour opt-out requests within 5 business days
  • Ensure all messages comply with applicable local law
  • Keep your account credentials secure

Reporting Abuse

Report any suspected misuse of SBS TELECOM services to abuse@sbstelecom.co.uk.
